Today, powered by grit, determination, and an unwavering commitment to its mission, the facility is proud to reach its 10-year anniversary– a milestone truly worth celebrating.
Since its inception, RTSW has been more than just a sports complex; it has driven an astounding $400 million in economic impact and has been instrumental in elevating the youth tourism industry in the U.S. It has changed the lives of athletes by offering state-of-the-art facilities set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Great Smokey Mountains.
While RTSW’s economic impact numbers are staggering, its contribution extends beyond statistics. It has been a catalyst for transforming lives, inspiring athletes and spectators alike, attracting over 1,064,423 visitors.
“Reflecting on our journey, I am in awe of what we have achieved,” says General Manager Doug Grote. “When we opened our doors ten years ago, we had big dreams. Today, we’ve realized those dreams and so much more. But the most gratifying part of this journey is the lives we’ve been able to impact through sports. That’s our top trophy.”

Athletes from 48 states and several countries, including the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Canada, the Iroquois Nation, and Honduras, have graced its state-of-the-art facilities.
